Pastor Jay, A New Christian Children's Book is Now Available on Amazon!!!

After nine months of writing, critiquing, collaborating, and having tons of fun, my new Christian Children's Book called Pastor Jay is now available for everyone to read on Amazon!!!

Pastor Jay is a story that would be enjoyed by any kiddo who has bunches of stuffed animals on their beds. Ellery, the main character of the story, has a little brother named Pastor Jay who loves talking about God...especially when it's night time and he is supposed to be sleeping. Pastor Jay preaches and preaches to all of Ellery's stuffies, and she has a TON of them, talking about all the wonderful things God has created. The stuffies take on personalities throughout the book, dreaming of going outside to see the things God has made. At the end of the story, Ellery reminds Pastor Jay that night time is a time for sleeping, not for preaching, and they should go back to sleep and talk about God in the morning.

Pastor Jay is a wonderful story that encourages kids to go outside and find all the treasures God has made for them. This story also shows my young readers that God just isn't for Sunday, kids can talk and think about God all the time!

I would like to thank two different people for the help they gave me with Pastor Jay. The first person I would love to thank is my husband, for supporting me through my writing journey. Without his support helping me get ready for the book signings and helping me understand the "business" side of selling books, I would not have two books published today.

The second person I would like to thank is the little lady that inspired me to write Pastor Jay. Most of my stories are inspired by real life people and events. I was a teacher's aide in a kindergarten classroom this past school year, and I had a special student that touched my heart. She loves her family and God so much! While she played during recess time, she would tell me stories about her brother waking up in the middle of the night, coming to her room, and preaching ALL NIGHT LONG with his loudest voice. The hilarious thought of a three year old preacher keeping his sister awake throughout the night sparked my imagination and Pastor Jay, who has a LOT to say, came to life.

The little lady on the right inspired the story of Pastor Jay. She's holding Bella the Butterfly, one of the stuffies in the story. The little gentleman on the left is the real live Pastor Jay, and boy, did he have a lot to say while we took this picture!

My next book signing will be in Noblesville, Indiana at the Living Truth Bookstore on October 11, 2025 from 11-2 where I will have copies of both Painter of the Sky and Pastor Jay available for purchase.
