The Best Children's Christian Book Is At The Library!!!

Updated: Jul 18

How about a break from chicken drama? I've got some book news to share about one of the best children's Christian books...

A navy "My Bucket List" book lies on a blue denim jacket. Blurred foreground shows pink, yellow, and white flowers, creating a dreamy mood.

It's been nine months since I've published my first book, Painter of the Sky, which was a huge bucket list item I have been trying to cross off for an entire two decades. My local library, in South Lyon, Michigan, has been super supportive of my Writer's Group and of my book signings, so I wanted to find out if they had a copy of my book stored on their shelves in the Children's Department.

Two smiling kids in a library. The boy holds a book titled "Painter of the Sky." She wears a pink unicorn outfit. Bright windows in background.
Brock and Rose found my book called Painter of the Sky at the Library!!!

My kids and I went to the library today to pick up some books for the Summer Reading Program, and I had them look through the shelves to see if they could find Painter of the Sky...and THEY FOUND IT!!!!

Woohoo!

For my next writing deadline, I'm about 70% done with my upcoming book called Pastor Jay, a story about a little brother who likes to keep his big sister up all night by talking to her stuffed animals about God. My illustrator is from Ukraine, and I can't wait for my readers to see her illustrations...they perfectly show the love between a brother and a sister. Crossing my fingers, I hope to have Pastor Jay published and ready for sale on Amazon sometime in September.

Thank you for reading another Country Squawk post and for supporting my writing journey!

With Lots Of Love,

Kelly
