A big part of my love language is giving gifts. I love to make people smile, and I absolutely LOVE to give surprises! Once I became a chicken owner, I immediately started giving all my friends and family eggs. Come over to my house for dinner, you get eggs. Go to church, everyone gets eggs. Running into friends at the library, they get eggs.

This week I want to show my appreciation to all The Squawk's readers by giving you a special gift. I love writing to an audience, and it means so much to me that you spend your valuable time every week reading Kelly's Country Squawk!

Instead of shipping eggs to all my readers all over the country, which might make a yolky mess, I've decided to do something a little different. This week I've written a short, five day Christian Devotional to give to you and to anyone else who may need a "Country Inspired" retreat with God. The devotional is called "Pecking through God's Promises", and each of the five devotions are short and sweet and greatly inspired by what God has shown me through raising chickens. It's amazing how many God lessons you can learn through hens and roosters!
